The CFIDS/M.E. Association of Mississippi, Inc.

Chronic immunological and neurological diseases are some of the fastest growing health concerns in the world today.

They include the following:

Chronic fatigue and immune dysfunction syndrome (CFIDS),

which is also known as myalgic encephalomyelitis (M.E.)

and chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS),

Fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS),

Multiple chemical sensitivities syndrome (MCS),

Gulf war illness (GWI),

Multiple sclerosis (MS), and

Lyme disease.

Related disorders include lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and osteoporosis.

These disorders are often characterized by overwhelming fatigue, severe muscle and joint pain, concentration problems, sleep disorders, headaches, allergic symptoms, and numerous other problems that usually last a lifetime.  The CFIDS/M.E. Association of Mississippi suggests that you do not donate blood or organs until more information is known about these diseases.

The CFIDS/M.E. Association of Mississippi, Inc. joins with the CFIDS Association of America in its mission to conquer CFIDS and related disorders and to inform and empower those who are affected.  Although there is no cure for these debilitating diseases at this time, treatment is available and promising research is taking place.
